2017-Rates & Customer Acceptance Requirements

Our facility is open to accept recyclable roofing material from roofing contractors, waste haulers, construction & demolition recycling facilities and homeowners.

2017-Processing/Disposal rates:

            Sorted/Clean roofing:   $18 per ton ($10 minimum)

            Mixed/Dirty roofing:    $27 per ton ($20 minimum)

ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS-We only accept residential (non-asbestos) asphalt roofing shingles

Sorted/Clean Roofing-asphalt roofing shingles with nails and tar paper backing only

Mixed/Dirty Roofing-asphalt roofing shingles with nails, tar paper, paper, plastic, metal, and wood.  We will not accept loads of roofing material when greater than 20% (by volume) of the load contains non-shingle materials. 

No CEDAR SHAKE WOOD or residential trash is allowed in either sorted or mixed roofing loads.  Buildings larger than 4-units in size must have each layer of roofing tested for asbestos for acceptance.

UNACCEPTABLE MATERIALS:

NO COMMERCIAL ROOFING (FLAT ROOFS), NO CEDAR SHAKE WOOD, NO GARBAGE, NO PLASTIC BOTTLES FILLED WITH URINE, NO ASBESTOS (FRIABLE AND NON-FRIABLE) MATERIAL, NO YARD WASTE IS ACCEPTED. 

Other examples of unacceptable materials include: drummed waste, barrels, mattresses, electronics, waste oil, asbestos siding, asbestos tile, asbestos roofing materials (flashing, shingles, mastic sealer), lead acid batteries, tires, propane tanks, containers of solvent or paint.  Loads found to contain any of these items in their load will be rejected.  Costs associated with reloading and removal of unacceptable material will be charged back to the customer.  

LOADS MUST BE TARPED OR COVERED. 

UNLOADING REQUIREMENTS- No person may open their tailgate or un-tarp their vehicle until they are in the processing area.

NO SALVAGING IS PERMITTED.  People or person’s caught salvaging will be prosecuted

NO CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR USE OF ILLEGAL DRUGS:  Drivers under the influence of any illegal drug or alcohol will be reported.
